Strengthening Livelihoods
Strengthening Livelihoods and Economic Resilience
DBRC works to improve livelihood security and economic opportunities for farmers, women, youth, waste pickers, migrant workers, and informal sector communities.
The organization promotes sustainable agriculture, skill development, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital inclusion, and access to government welfare schemes. Farmers are supported through training, exposure visits, and linkages with agriculture departments and institutions to adopt sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices. DBRC also works extensively with waste pickers, sanitation workers, and informal labourers by strengthening cooperatives, supporting alternative livelihoods, facilitating access to social security, and advancing labour rights.
Through initiatives such as India Labour Line, DBRC provides mediation and legal support for vulnerable workers facing wage theft, unsafe working conditions, and exploitation. By building skills, strengthening market access, and promoting self-employment, DBRC helps communities move towards sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
